Farrell Brothers has served Albany and the Capital Region, NY since 1921, when Martin E. Farrell, Sr. put a fully stocked shop on wheels. Here is our story and the credentials behind the trucks.
1921 to today
It started with a shop on wheels
In 1921, Martin E. Farrell, Sr. founded Farrell Brothers in Albany. In an era when tradesmen often had to go back to the shop for materials, he wanted to finish the job in one visit. His answer was the Original Plumbing Shop on Wheels: a truck stocked as a rolling parts room, so the inventory came to the customer’s curb.

From the start, Farrell built the business on a few principles that still guide it:
- Look for a better way. Find practical advantages that serve the customer.
- Know the local buildings. Understand the homes and businesses of the Capital Region.
